By accessing or using Empowered Emotions Counseling’s website and services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or my services.
Services Provided
Empowered Emotions Counseling provides mental health services, including therapy, counseling and related resources. These services are subject to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable laws.
Eligibility for Services
You must be at least 18 years old to have parental/guardian consent to receive services.
My services are only available to clients in locations where I’m licensed to practice.
I reserve the right to refuse services to individuals if necessary for ethical, professional, or legal reasons.
No Emergency or Crisis Services
My services are not intended for crisis intervention. If you’re experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or a crisis hotline from my mental health resources page. Services are provided by appointment only.
Client Responsibilities
By using my services, you agree to:
Provide accurate and honest information during assessments and sessions.
Attend scheduled sessions or cancel at least within 24 hours of your appointment in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
Follow treatment recommendations while making your own informed decisions about your mental health.
Fees, Payments, & Insurance
Fees for services will be communicated before your session.
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.
If using insurance, it is your responsibility to verify coverage and benefits.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Confidentiality & Privacy
All client information is protected in accordance with HIPAA (if applicable) or other relevant privacy laws.
Confidentiality may be broken in cases where disclosure is required by law, such as:
Risk of harm to yourself and others.
Suspected child, elder, or dependent adult abuse.
Court orders requiring disclosure.
